Each session, a number of players improve their individual stock while helping their squads rack up wins.

While their performances might not be All-EYBL worthy, these names stuck out all weekend with their consistent play. 

Brooklyn statistics: 18.7 PPG, 53.1 FG%, 9.0 RPG, 2.7 TOPG, 1.0 APG

Team Griffin forward Brady Manek shined in New York with three top notch performances. Manek started the weekend off with a 20 point performance and then finished it off with two double-doubles in his last two games. He is and will most likely continue to be his team’s primary scorer. Look for Manek to add offers as the season goes on.

Brooklyn statistics: 13.7 PPG, 56.0 FG%, 6.3 RPG, 2.7 TOPG

Cody Riley made his return to the Nike EYBL only it was with the Pheonix Phamily this time around. Riley put up impressive numbers and showed that he is one of the premier power forwards in the EYBL. He did a great job using his strength in the lane as well as taking other big men off the dribble when on the perimeter.

Brooklyn statistics: 16.7 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.0 BPG

The class of 2018 big man made quite a splash into the EYBL this past weekend. He had two huge performances against We All Can Go and Pro Skills. Against Pro Skills he scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds and against W.A.C.G. he had 20 points and 8 boards. Throughout the weekend Williams went 23-27 from the field, which equates to a 85% field goal percentage. He is definitely one to watch in Indianapolis.

Brooklyn statistics: 19.0 PPG, 44.6 FG%, 5.3 RPG, 2.7 SPG, 1.3 APG, 3.3 TOPG

-Nowell showed his elite scoring ability and them some in New York. Against King James, Nowell scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Nowell did a great job breaking his defenders off the dribble and finished at a high level. He played hard throughout the weekend and will continue to do in Indianapolis.

Seattle Rotary guard Daejon Davis went into session one of the EYBL uncommitted as he recently backed off his pledge to Washington. Davis is now a hot commodity for many schools and he showed why with his play. Davis can score in a variety of ways and has the ability to make plays for his teammates on the floor. He will do everything in his power to have Rotary leave session two with a winning record.

Brooklyn statistics: 16.0 PPG, 54.8 FG%, 4.3 RPG, 14-16 FT

Boo Williams shooting guard Keldon Johnson made his Nike EYBL debut and he entered in the perfect way. The class of 2018 prospect put up big numbers in all three of his games. His slashing ability is very advanced for his age. Johnson was the biggest offensive threat for Boo Williams through session one and if he keeps putting up numbers like this he will be regarded as one of the biggest offensive threats throughout the Nike EYBL.

Brooklyn statistics: 16.0 PPG, 40.5 FG%, 3.7 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.7 SPG, 3.3 TOPG

Georgia Stars point guard Jamie Lewis came ready to produce in this year’s first Nike EYBL session. Once he starts to distribute for his team he will be a threat to anytime he goes up against. The class of 2018 guard looked comfortable even though he was playing up for his age group. Lewis will be one to follow as EYBL play progresses.

Brooklyn statistics: 13.3 PPG, 53.1 FG%, 7.7 RPG, 1.3 SPG

Rachal went into session one of the Nike EYBL known as the main piece of Elfrid Payton Elite. He has always been a great defensive player, but as shown by the stat line above he came ready offensively as well. His team went 1-2, but expect Rachal to go into Indianapolis this week with a must win mindset.

Brooklyn statistics: 14.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 4.7 APG, 3.7 TOPG

St. Louis Eagles guard Jordan Goodwin made some noise in the high school season as he led his team to a state championship. He continued his impressive play in New York and came out as the top rebounding guard in the circuit through the first session. Goodwin’s toughness and drive will help the Eagles in a big way this year.

Brooklyn statistics: 18.3 PPG, 60.6 FG%, 4.7 RPG, 1.3 APG

-King James forward Kyle Young had three impressive performances in session one of the EYBL. Young helped lead King James to a 2-1 record especially with the numbers he put up in the second game. Against Seattle Rotary he scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Young was very efficient from the field and is a crucial part to King James’ success this season.

One word that describes Kimani Lawrence’s play is production. The Expressions Elite wing has been giving a lot of responsibility this year and in the first session he answered the call. Lawrence’s ability to finish as well as being a defensive stopper makes him such a crucial part to his team.

Brooklyn statistics: 14.7 PPG, 74.1 FG%, 7.0 RPG

The Meanstreets big man stepped up for his team especially in their second game against We All Can Go (TN) where he finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. A lot of different sets and plays are run through Livers so expect him to continue to be highly productive throughout the EYBL.

The Family Detroit had a tough first session, but their forward Jamal Cain was one of the bright spots for them. He scored 19 points against Expressions Elite and 17 points against MoKan Elite. His athleticism and highlight reel plays are hard to contain for his opponents. He will look to give The Family its first win in Indianapolis.

The big-framed power forward from We All Can Go had a great first session in New York. He used his strength to finish down low as well as grab key rebounds. Feazell’s efficient play opened a lot of eyes and he will have even more people tracking him in Indianapolis. He will be one of the most important players for W.A.C.G. as the EYBL season progresses.

Brooklyn statistics: 14.7 PPG, 51.6 FG%, 2.0 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 3.0 TOPG

Devontae Shuler made his EYBL debut with Team CP3 this past weekend and he played as if he had been playing in the league for years. Shuler scored in bunches throughout the entirety of the weekend and this was seen mostly from his playmaking ability. Whenever CP3 needed a basket he would always step up and make a highlight reel play.

Brooklyn statistics: 13.3 PPG, 47.2 FG%, 6.0 RPG, 1.7 TOPG

The class of 2018 forward plays bigger then he is, which came up big against the Houston Hoops. He scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a 71-62 win. He is a versatile forward that impacts the game in a variety of ways. Djuricic puts CIA Bounce in a position to win games when he is out there. This should help the Canadian squad as EYBL goes on.

Albany City Rocks forward Hameir Wright shined through the first session and led his team to a 3-0 record. Wright was already a well-known name, but this past weekend raised his stock even more. In his first game of the weekend he and his teammates squared off against one of the most talented teams in the EYBL, California Supreme. Wright finished with 15 points and the most impressive stat for him in this one was him going 4-7 from three. He proved that he has the ability to shoot from deep. Wright came ready to play in his home state of New York.

Brooklyn statistics: 12.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.0 TOPG

R.J. Cole’s was one of the main reasons why the NJ Playaz left session one with a 3-0 record. Cole did a great job of being a floor general for his team while also having the ability to play off the ball. He played with the ball on a string and made smart decisions all weekend long. The 4.0 student has a lot of high academic schools after him and they should be in attendance this weekend in Indianapolis.

Team United wing Alex O’Connell went into the EYBL with the status of being one of the best shooters in the league. He went 42% from three so he left session one with that same status. Team United will rely upon O’Connell a great deal and O’Connell showed he was ready for all that will be placed upon his shoulders this past weekend.

Davion Mitchell is regarded as one of the best guards in the class of 2017 and he proved that in New York. Mitchell was great from the field as he went 59% through his three games. The athletic two-guard showed off his explosiveness in the lane He was most impressive in his game against E1T1 United where he scored 20 points and went 7-10 from the field.

Brooklyn statistics: 15.7 PPG, 53.8 FG%, 6.0 RPG, 2.0 SPG, 1.7 TOPG

A lot of people in the northeast region hadn’t gotten the chance to see Okeke play, but he definitely didn’t go unnoticed by the end of the weekend. In his second game of the weekend against E1T1 United he scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. His size is complemented by a nice skillset and his stock should continue to rise as EYBL play progresses.

Brooklyn statistics: 15.0 PPG, 48.6 FG%, 2.0 RPG, 1.3 APG

The NY Lightning went 0-3 through the first session, but Lightning guard Matt Turner stepped up for them. He made some big shots from mid-range to three and put often put his team in a position to come away with a win. Turner will continue to be one of the centerpieces for his team and will make sure the Lightning have a better session in Indianapolis.

NY Lightning point guard showed off his quickness and playmaking ability in the first session. Walker complemented his scoring ability with 6.7 assists per game. He did a great job producing in transition and creating for his teammates. Once Walker gets his three point shot going he will be a problem for anyone he goes up against.

Brooklyn statistics: 9.0 PPG, 52.4 FG%, 9.3 RPG, 2.7 APG, 4.0 TOPG

BABC forward had one of the top performances in session one of the Nike EYBL with an 18 point and 17 rebound outing against the Las Vegas Prospects. Santos-Silva will have to deliver more performances like this to put BABC in a good position to make it to Peach Jam. The Vermont Academy big man looks to put up numbers like this and then some in Indianapolis.

Brooklyn statistics: 12.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.3 SPG

The class of 2017 guard made his Nike EYBL debut for RM5 Elite this past weekend. RM5 lost their first two games, but Bailey’s play in the last game of session one gave his team a 61-47 victory. Bailey will have to raise his field goal percentage, but with his talent he will be able to raise all of his numbers. Bailey could be one of the players this next session that will breakout.

Brooklyn statistics: 13.3 PPG, 48.1 FG%, 6.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 2.0 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 2.0 TOPG

Reddish lived up to the hype with his play in New York. The class of 2018 wing is known for his overall skillset. With his size and potential he has a tremendous amount of upside. He has a double-double against the Oakland Soldiers and finished up the weekend by scoring 17 points. His role will continue to expand as he gets more comfortable playing at the 17U level.

Brooklyn statistics: 11.7 PPG, 3.0 APG, 3.0 RPG, 2.3 SPG, 4.0 TOPG

The Team Final point guard showed toughness and leadership in New York. Russell plays with a high motor and is an incredible competitor. The class of 2017 prospect was watched by SMU, Seton Hall, Grand Canyon and more throughout the weekend. His stock has risen in the past year and should continue to as he gains plenty of exposure as the starting point guard for the prestigious Team Final.  

Brooklyn statistics: 11.7 PPG, 48.3 FG%, 2.7 RPG

The Howard Pulley wing went into the first session under the radar, but left better well known. Kalscheur complemented Gary Trent Jr. on the wing. It isn’t his team this year, but he and Tre Jones will carry the load next year. Before this happens Kalscheur will look to continue to rise his stock as he is now throughout EYBL play.

Brooklyn statistics: 11.3 PPG, 57.9 FG%, 3.0 RPG, 2.3 TOPG

Arkansas Wings guard is a tough guard that play as hard as he could throughout the weekend. Christon slashes at a high level when coming from the perimeter. The Wings found themselves having a lot of plays and sets run through Christon. He is someone that without a doubt rose his stock after session one.

Brooklyn statistics: 12.0 PPG, 50.0 FG%, 10.3 RPG, 2.0 TOPG

The Class of 2017 Arkansas Commit made his 17U Nike EYBL debut this past weekend and he made a great impression on everyone in attendance. He came away from his three games of play averaging a double-double. His long wingspan and rebounding ability is tough to deal with for the opposition. Gafford is someone that has the potential to lead the EYBL in rebounds and if he does that he puts the Wings in a great spot to do well in the Peach Jam.

Brooklyn statistics: 11.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 2.0 APG

Nike South Beach guard JoJo Walker started off the weekend in the perfect way with a game winning three against Pro Skills. The class of 2017 prospect is lightning quick and can shoot it a high level. Walker will continue to have the ball in his hands going forward and the NSB coaches will look for him to produce.

Brooklyn statistics: 11.0 PPG, 40.0 FG%, 2.7 RPG, 3.3 APG, 2.0 TOPG

All Ohio Red went 0-3, but Cummings was impressive especially in his last two games. He scored 14 points against Pro Skills and 15 points against Team CP3. He can shoot it from three and showed that he is a good decision maker. Heading into session two Cummings and his team will go in with plenty of motivation as they have yet to get a win this year.

Brooklyn statistics: 4.3 PPG, 42.9 FG%, 9.3 RPG, 1.5 BPG

The class of 2017 big man still has to develop offensively, but proved that he is one of the best rebounders throughout the EYBL. His best performance for Southern Stampede was when he grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 9 points. Southern Stampede left with a winning record and Agbo’s presence played a factor in that.
