CP3’s floor general entered Peach Jam freshly committed to Connecticut, and his ensuing performances have to have Coach Kevin Ollie and company extremely excited. Gilbert relied on his patented speed and quickness, proving to be a matchup nightmare in pool play. The 6-foot guard plays with an infectious swagger, slicing and dicing defenses with his elite handles and passing ability. He is next-in-line at UConn, following the likes of Kemba Walker, Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright. Judging by his 2015 Peach Jam, he has a real possibility to be just as good as his Husky predecessors.  

Are you a fan of consistency? Look no further than Mr. Forrest. The 6-foot-4 Florida State-commit improved his regular season numbers across the board, compiling Peach Jam averages of 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds. He came up huge in the clutch in the Stars’ semifinal matchup against Team Takeover, driving the length of the floor en route to a buzzer-beating floater to force overtime. He is on the short list for top backcourt defenders on the circuit, and his vast skillset is ever improving. The two-year EYBL veteran leaves the league on a win, and he’ll likely be doing plenty more of that in Tallahassee.

Flint, Michigan’s finest was a man amongst boys in North Augusta. Listed as a guard but playing every bit as physical as a forward, Bridges put The Family Detroit on his back during pool play, averaging a double-double. The rims at the Riverview Activities Center have declared Bridges public enemy number one, as he threw down a bevy of violent dunks. When he’s clicking, there aren’t many players who can compete with his all-around skillset. He was a mainstay on the All-Session teams, so it’s not a surprise that the Huntington Prep star had a monstrous Peach Jam.

ESPN’s 4th ranked recruit in the 2017 class had his coming out party at Peach Jam. Teaming up with fellow frontcourt behemoth Udoka Azubuike, Carter displayed a skillset that seems to be only scratching it’s surface. Listed at 6-foot-11, 230 pounds, Carter parlays his elite physical attributes with an incredible young mind. Sporting a 3.9 grade point average while listing Harvard on his short list of potential schools, Carter has one of the brightest futures in the EYBL. Did we mention he nearly dropped a triple-double in the Peach Jam Championship on ESPNU? Well, he did, and it’s one of the main reasons he’s a second-team All-Peach Jam selection.

PSA lost Omari Spellman to injury a few minutes after Peach Jam tipped. Luckily, his frontcourt mate was ready to pick up the slack. Freshly minted the 2015 EYBL Defensive Player of the Year, Kassoum Yakwe lived up to his reputation – and then some. The 6-foot-9 paint-protector averaged a Peach Jam-record 5.6 blocks per game, as well as 8.7 points and 11.4 rebounds. As soon as Spellman went down, Yakwe arguably became the most important player on any team in the tournament. His efforts helped PSA into bracket play for the second straight year. The Mali, Africa native has come a long way during his early basketball career, and it was a treat to watch him continue his rise in North Augusta.
