Charlie Moore: Mac Irvin Fire

18.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 4.4 APG, 2.8 SPG

That sound you hear is Charlie Moore blowing up. The 6-foot true point guard was at it again in Minneapolis, stuffing the stat sheet en route to his best statistical performances of the season. Moore has proven to be one of the most well-rounded point guards on the circuit, and his production was desperately needed during a must-win session. Like all Mac Irvin guards, Moore prides himself on his defense, but it’s his intangibles that set him apart. Strictly as a playmaker, not many players can match Moore’s efforts, and that bodes well for Mac Irvin moving forward.

Alterique Gilbert: Team CP3

10.6 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 6.8 APG, 2.2 SPG

Team CP3 finished the EYBL season with a 4-1 record in Minneapolis, cementing their Regular Season Championship. CP3 is stacked with talent, and they have been led all season by their fearless point guard, Alterique Gilbert. The 6-foot floor general was at his best in Minneapolis, stuffing the stat sheet while leading the entire circuit in assists. Team CP3 displays some of the best on-court team chemistry, something that Gilbert takes full advantage of. He is the straw that stirs the drink for Head Coach Jon Adams’ squad, and this production will be a necessity in North Augusta.

Markus Howard: LV Prospects

20.4 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.2 SPG

If you need a bucket, call on Mr. Howard. The sophomore speedster kept up his dynamic scoring rate in Minneapolis, tallying an average of 20+ points per game for the third straight session. He can score in a variety of fashions and knows when to defer to his talented teammates. Howard has also made noticeable improvements on defense, utilizing his quickness and hands to be more of a disruption for the opponent’s backcourt. His scoring will need to be on point in North Augusta, and he’s shown no signs of taking his foot off the gas pedal.

Andrew Platek: Albany City Rocks

18.0 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 2.2 APG, 1.4 SPG

In five Minneapolis games, Andrew Platek made a loud statement. Needing a few wins to secure a Peach Jam berth, the City Rocks rallied, relying on an unreal session from Platek. The 6-foot-4 guard is a sharpshooter from distance, knocking down 23 triples in five games. He was also efficient rebounding and passing the ball in Minneapolis, upping his averages across the board. The sophomore from Northfield Mount Hermon has a bright future ahead of him, and it’s clear he’ll be a weapon for the City Rocks moving forward.

Jarred Vanderbilt: Houston Hoops

14.2 PPG, 11.2 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1.0 BPG

Vanderbilt has made an all-tournament team after the first three sessions, so him earning this award shouldn’t come as a surprise. The 6-foot-9 do-it-all forward has proven with his play that he is one of, if not the best recruit in the 2017 class. We’ve lauded Vanderiblt for his motor and energy, and that has not fallen off one bit as the season has progressed. At this point, anything less than a double-double should be considering an underwhelming performance for the uber-productive Vanderbilt.
