Xavier Simpson King James

17.8 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.8 APG

King James may be the most underrated team in the EYBL, and their floor general has proven to be one of the best guards. Simpson took his numbers to another level in Houston, producing four very strong games while lifting the Shooting Stars to a 3-1 record. He is lethal playing alongside elite talent and doing so has allowed him to display his scoring ability. King James’ starting five are high-major prospects, and Simpson is the conductor of the train. His combination of skills and IQ have catapulted King James into serious contention.

Markus Howard: LV Prospects

23.5 PPG (53.3 FG%), 4.5 RPG, 2.5 APG, 2.3 SPG

Markus Howard can score with the best of them. The 5-foot-11 scoring guard recently pledged his high school services to Findlay Prep, and Head Coach Andy Johnson has to be on cloud nine. As you can see by his session statistics, Howard can do much more than score, but that is his bread and butter. The two-time All-Arizona guard is efficient as they come for a perimeter scorer – he shot over 53% in four Houston games.

Harry Giles: Team CP3

24.0 PPG, 12.0 RPG

Harry Giles made us break our own rule. Usually, we require four games played in order to be on this list. Giles missed Friday night, but rebounded with three completely dominated performances to earn his way on this list. Team CP3 finished the session 4-0 and won a close game with MOKAN Elite – a win that they likely don’t get without Giles. They lead the EYBL with an 11-1 record and Giles their unequivocal leader.

Alterique Gilbert: Team CP3

21.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 4.5 APG, 1.0 SPG

Team CP3’s floor general took his game to another level this weekend. Several scouts said that this was the best he’s ever looked, an opinion that is difficult to disagree with. Without Giles, Gilbert sliced and diced The Family’s defense, doing whatever he wanted offensively. His playing style allows him to impact a game in numerous ways, and the stats confirm that production. He plays with a high level of confidence and limits his turnovers, which are two huge reasons why Team CP3 will regain their No. 1 ranking.

Miles Bridges: The Family

22.0 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1.5 SPG, 1.5 BPG

Had The Family won another game or two, Bridges would likely find himself on the first team list. The 6-foot-7 superstar was forced to take control of the game as his teammate Cassius Winston, the EYBL leading scorer, was injured after the opening game. At this point, there’s not much more we can say about Bridges. He scores, rebounds, defends and competes as hard you can. He has played at another level all season and there is no reason to think Minneapolis will be any different.
