Cassius Winston The Family

This was the hardest decision we had, because Winston was just as good in Hampton where he earned first-team honors. The 6-foot-1 point guard maintained his EYBL scoring lead, putting up 22.3 points per game in four contests. His 28-point performance coincided with teammate Miles Bridges’ performance of the session, an OT-victory of the Playaz. There are not many floor generals in the nation like Winston, and college coaches have been able to witness this first-hand through the first two sessions.

Myles Powell NJ Playaz

Through two sessions, Powell has proven to be the three-point best shooter in the EYBL. He has attempted an EYBL-high 86 three-pointers, and has knocked them down at a 43 percent clip. He hit 20 three-pointers in Lexington, averaging 21.8 points per game. Powell is only four points shy of Cassius Winston’s scoring lead, and he hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down.

De'Aaron Fox Houston Hoops

Fox might be the most complete guard on the circuit, and his third year for Houston Hoops is off to a terrific start. In four Lexington games, the 6-foot-4 speedster averaged 16 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 steals and 4.1 rebounds. He impacts a game in numerous ways, is a proven winner, and does the little things better than most role players. He has clearly focused on being more of a distributor, an aspect of his game that is vastly underrated. The Hoops are 7-1 through eight games and Fox is a large reason why.

Miles Bridges The Family

Bridges lands on this list for the second straight session, this time after leading The Family to a 3-1 session. The 6-foot-7 combo guard put up the performance of the session against the Playaz, averaging 21.3 points & 7.8 rebounds in four contests. Bridges is the epitome of a do-it-all player, and this type of statistical production is leaving coaches salivating.

Harry Giles Team CP3

Hampton’s Most Valuable Player continued his domination for Team CP3, putting up four game averages of 15.3 points and 10.3 rebounds. His shooting averages were a bit down from his normal output, but we chock that up to the constant double-teams he faces. Much like Winston, Giles deserves the first-team nod but was overshadowed by some spectacular performances. Through two sessions, Giles would figure to be the EYBL’s Most Valuable Player.
